What makes Altai shilajit different

Shilajit (also called mumijo) is a dark, tar-like resin that seeps from rock layers high in the mountains. It forms over decades from compressed plant matter and minerals. The Altai region in southern Siberia is one of the few places where it is still collected by hand at altitude, then cleaned and purified without chemical solvents.

Our shilajit is sold in its original resin form. Resin has not been dried into powder or pressed into tablets, so nothing is added and nothing is lost in processing. A 100 g jar lasts most people three to four months at one serving per day.

How to store it

Keep the jar closed at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. The resin softens when warm and hardens when cold; both are normal. If it becomes too firm, hold the closed jar in warm hands for a minute before scooping.
